About Rachel

Hello! My name is Rachel, and I'm 24 years old. I just moved to the Charlottesville area recently for a grad program in biomedical sciences at UVA, and I hope to become a family medicine physician. I'm looking forward to getting to know the area and Charlottesville residents! My favorite thing about being a tutor is being reconnected with the creativity and wonder with which children see the world. As a future scientist, I love all the "why?" questions that kids ask, and it's great when we can learn together! I babysat all through high school and tutored middle and high schoolers in undergrad as well. I am most experienced with children aged 4 and up. I can tutor, proofread, work practice problems, or help with college applications (I attended Duke for undergrad, Harvard for my post-bac, and am at UVA now).
