About Paul

Hello! I am a patient, laid back guy with about 3 years experience working with children with special needs as my full time job. I have aspergers syndrome which falls within autism spectrum disorder. I have grown up around people with special needs my whole life. My sister and aunts have autism to varying degrees, and my father and grandparents were born deaf, so I am fluent in American Sign Language. I have worked in a variety of settings with children, primarily in schools and at summer camps, and I'm looking to expand into in home care. I have taken the CNA training course, but haven't taken the test yet due to Covid-19. I strive to meet children's medical, mobility, and behavioral needs, as well as to build social skills. I have experience working with children and teens with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, blindness, and epilepsy. My desire is for every kid to grow up to live their best life, and my goal is to help them as much as I can along that path.
