Well this is the 2nd time that we have had the honor/privilege of writing a recommendation for Patti. This time the recommendation is for care services provided to my Father-in-Law “Joe”. Patti had previously cared for my Father “James”. Patti has now cared for my Father-in-Law Joe for 3 years. Patti has become an extended part of our family for over 12 years. I don’t know what we would have done without her. Patti cared for Joe for the last 3 years as he has aged from a relatively healthy 85 year old to a more dependent 88 year old. If you hire Patti, you are hiring someone who is Totally Dedicated to your loved one. Your family member becomes the most important thing in Patti’s life. I will be honest and say that she doesn’t look like the youngest, strongest, most athletic caregiver in the world, but she is capable of doing all the things an elder parent would need. She will do whatever it takes to keep your loved one comfortable, safe, and healthy. Her greatest strength (and weakness) is how she becomes emotionally attached to her patients. Your parents’ life & problems, now become Patti’s Life & Problems. For my Father-in-Law, Patti’s services included; Food preparation, Grocery Shopping, Medication, Laundry, Bed Changes, House Cleaning, & Companionship. We paid Patti for 4 hours per day, but her and sometimes her adult son, would sit with Joe for several hours watching TV and talking with Joe well into the night. That’s the other bonus – her adult son Adam frequently accompanies her, so you are essentially getting 2 people for the price of one.
