I have raised two children, spent 40 years serving in the United States Air Force and took personal care of my elderly parents for 10 years before they passed at the ages of 86 and 88. My mom was a stroke survivor during the time I cared for her, so I am aware of what is involved when caring for someone who requires help with all the personal aspects of life. I have recent paid experience caring for an elderly gentleman with late-stage Alzheimer's; a gentleman recovering from hip replacement surgery; currently provide 1x/week companion care to a 91 y/o woman and run personal errands and do grocery shop for an elderly couple. Only the care arrangement for the gentleman with Alzheimer's was acquired through Care. com.
