About Patricia

Hi there! I'm a retired public school teacher, certified dog trainer, and, most importantly, mom of 2 great adults + grandmother of 5 precious grands (4 under age 1), all of whom live locally. I taught students with handicapping conditions and gifted students. I especially love the joyful enthusiasm of young children, so I thought part-time child care would be a great way to finance my retirement hobbies. I've had a long stretch in which all my extra time was gladly devoted to helping out with infant and toddler grands. Now that they are older I have some time available to post here on Care. com. I'm healthy and active; I bring a love of children, of the outdoors, and of enthusiastic natural curiosity, which I support full-heartedly as a caregiver. I'm a naturally optimistic person seeking a drama-free care environment where exploration is encouraged and positive reinforcement is paramount.
