During the final stage of my mother’s life, we were incredibly fortunate to have Nlda as her caregiver. My mother was living with dementia and in hospice care, and Nlda brought an extraordinary level of skill, patience, and compassion to every moment she spent with her. Dementia can be incredibly challenging, but Nlda handled every situation with calm, grace, and deep understanding. She knew how to gently redirect confusion, ease anxiety, and maintain my mother’s dignity even in the most difficult moments. Her presence brought a sense of steadiness and comfort that helped my mother—and our entire family—feel safe and supported. In hospice, where every detail matters, Nlda was attentive, respectful, and gentle. She moved at my mother’s pace, honored her rhythms, and cared for her not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Her kindness and professionalism gave us immense peace of mind in a time of sorrow. We will always be grateful for the compassion and skill Nlda brought into our home. She was a light in one of the darkest times, and we couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver.
