I'm in the process of entering an LPN program, but currently I work at Pediatric Specialty Care every other weekend caring for babies/young children/teens and young adults with G-tubes/J-tubes, vents, Trachs and oxygen. These kids depend on myself and my co-workers to provide full care for them daily. I do everything from bathing them to hooking up and running their feeds. Most of these kids have no family present in their lives and so I feel like I'm doing right by them by providing the best care possible to each and every one of them. My co-workers and I are essentially (for most of them) their only family. I love my job and what I do. It puts things into perspective for me everyday and I'm so grateful to be able to be a part of their lives in a positive way!
