About Nicole

I have always enjoyed working with children and find it rewarding to be able to contribute to their development. My child care experience has just grown exponentially from being a mother's helper at age 11, to being a lead toddler teacher at bright horizons in Boston. I worked through middle school and high school doing babysitting, summers as a camp counselor at a Center Day Camp with 2nd & 3rd graders, as well as worked as the art director and assistant drama counselor and extended care after camp. I have worked as a teacher's assistant at the Jewish Community Alliance in Portland working with ages from toddlers to prekindergarten. I then attended College in Boston for 3 semesters pursuing my education working towards Special Education. While taking a break, I worked for 2. 5 years in an Early Childhood Education Program for infants and toddlers. I have brought my nannying career back home to Maine and I'm hoping to be a great fit for you and your family!

Nicole is a wonderful child care provider. We met her while she was a teacher with our daughter She "gets" kids and what makes them tick When our son was born, she became a regular weekend and backup child care provider to both of our children. Our son was slow to talk and Nicole was always upbeat, professional and caring. Our daughter is spirited and strong willed and Nicole always knew exactly what to do to get her headed in the right direction. Plus, having Nicole take care of the kids was like having your favorite cousin come to your home. We really enjoyed hanging out with her too. She is a real person who is a lot of fun to be around. Just to show how dedicated she was to our family, prior to leaving the area, she set us up with one of her good friends just to make sure that we had someone who could fill her spot (which is pretty impossible to fill). She is a keeper and anyone who works with her is very lucky!
