About Nancy

I have been teaching in the Pittsfield Public Schools for the last two years, both as a first-grade teacher and as a second-grade teacher. I am licensed to teach grades 1-6, and I have experience with incoming kindergarten students. I graduated from UMass Amherst, where I earned my Masters in Education, specializing in Elementary Education. I am a reliable, energetic, knowledgable, and organized person. I am looking for the opportunity to tutor students over the summer. I would like to work with caregivers to create shared goals for the summer, whether that is to help your child maintain the skills they learned all year to avoid any "summer slide" or elevate your child's skills to the next level. I will work with you to meet our goals and help get your child(ren) ready for the next school year while implementing fun and engaging activities to maintain your child's focus throughout my sessions.
