About Morgan

I graduated from Spelman College in 2011 with a Bachelor's in Spanish and Economics. I was a member of my school's Spanish club and I volunteered at the Latin American Association throughout those years. I volunteered at local high schools as a Spanish tutor as well. I also did tutoring for non-Spanish majors who needed assistance in their required Spanish classes. After my sophomore year I was accepted into the summer study abroad program in Mexico where I studied advanced grammar and Mexican history. I lived with a host family who spoke no English. Before college I was excellent in Spanish at my high school, where I excelled to the AP/IB Spanish level. I was accepted for a 2 week volunteer service program in Nicaragua where I lived with a host family who spoke no English. Spanish has always come very easily to me and I have enjoyed it more than anything excluding child care. I have been a child care provider for years and have actually been able to combine my two passions. I am exploring ways to expand my knowledge and ways to teach and care for children. I have currently been working on ways to improve my Spanish skills and begin creating a program to teach children how to speak Spanish.
