Throughout high school I babysat our family friends 3 children, one having down syndrome. He is the sweetest most loving boy. I found that sometimes I would leave feeling defeated or that I had to redirect him, but the big hug he ran up and gave me every time I saw him made it all worth it. My goal as a profession is to work with children with special needs. I find it so rewarding and fulfilling. They need an advocate for them in this world and if I can be apart of their life journey I would love the opportunity.
