About Monica

I m currently a freshman this year at the University of Oregon home for the summer looking to double major in Business and Education (k-6). I ve found that even within the short time I ve been in school that while business is a good and practical major to have under my belt, my passion is working with kids. My experience with kids started when I was 9 and my cousin was born. I watched her grow up and have had a big hand in raising her as shes now 11 and going into 5th grade. Aside from that my paid experience started when I was 14 and began babysitting for family friends watching kids anywhere from 3 months to 14 years old. Most of the families I watch for require me to have a flexible schedule and work evenings and nights as well as doing regular house chores (making dinner putting kids to bed, dishes, laundry etc.). I have a lot of history working hands on with a variety of age groups in many settings and would love the chance to continue it.
