I started working with kids when I was 16 at my local daycare. After college, I worked as a tutor to gain experience before moving abroad to teach. I spent a little over four and a half years living and teaching English to young learners in Vietnam. I also tutored privately for two Japanese expatriate families while I lived overseas. I am enrolled at Montclair State University where I am completing my M. A. in school counseling. Currently, I am interning at a STEM high school (working with kids one-on-one and in small groups). I love building rapport with children and adolescents, helping them with their homework, and pushing them to be more proactive/confident.

Michelle was hired as a "pod facilitator". This was for four 2nd graders in a private office setting with no other adults onsite. Her role included responsibility for the children's welfare. Michelle oversaw their logging into their classes and assisted them with questions and also emotional challenges they all experienced at different times while they were cooped up in pod. Michelle was excellent as a teacher/ tutor. Michelle was very trustworthy and communicative with individual parents as needed. She displayed patience and compassion for the children, while maintaining a strong adult presence and keeping the children focused on their work. Michelle was the perfect fit for our needs and gets the highest recommendation possible. The school district opened the classrooms back up, which is the only reason we parted ways with Michelle. *My wife and I have hired around 10 different people from Care previously as nannies and caregivers for an elderly parent. Michelle is in the top 2!
