I moved from San Francisco to the Palm Beach area two years ago and I've been working as a nanny/housekeeper/chef/personal assistant since I arrived. I taught elementary school in S. F. (grades K-5) but due to the economy and lack of teaching jobs I decided to work as a nanny so I could continue to work with children. I have had 4 nanny positions to date; two in SF and two in Palm Beach Garden. I am currently working for a family that is moving so I'm looking to find a new family as soon as possible. Some of my current job's duties include taking care of a family of four with 2 children; ages 8 and 10. I manage the house which includes keeping it tidy and organized (we also have weekly cleaners), laundry/ironing, shopping/errands, as well as cooking lunch and dinner for the family. In addition I drive the children to various activities, help with homework and stay overnight when the parents are out of town. My nanny jobs in SF were for younger children ranging in ages from 1 to 5, although I've also had some experience with infants. I am the proud mother of a 24-year-old daughter. I am organized, dedicated, reliable, responsible, punctual (to a fault) and flexible. I love working with children and consider myself to be a warm and caring person. Although I wear a variety of hats at my current position I would prefer a nanny job that allows me to focus and spend more time with children. I love to read to children and to do all kinds of arts and crafts projects. I also enjoy outings to the park, library, museum, and anywhere else outdoors. I have an outstanding driving record and have my own car that I bought when I arrived in West Palm Beach. I also have excellent referrals and stellar letters of recommendation. I am looking for full time; although I would consider part time depending on the circumstances. I look forward to finding a loving family in need of my services.
