About Michelle

Hi, I'm Michelle! I'm a full-time District 203 high school English teacher and married mom of two college kids, a daughter and a son. I provide child care to families on evenings and weekends, and I also do occasional weekend overnight care. When my kids were young, I was a stay-at-home mom for six years; I also have 20 years of teaching experience and many years of nannying/babysitting experience. I love kids of all ages! I have two education-related master's degrees, one in reading; helping kids one-on-one with literacy and writing is my specialty. I also love being active, cooking/baking, doing art, laughing, and having fun. I will gladly help with homework, prep for meals, tidy up your kitchen, and basically do anything a parent would do. In both my education and child care jobs, I strive to help my kids learn about the world around them while teaching them to become polite, kind, and interesting people.
