My experience working with individuals with special needs on a professional level varies from PCA for senior citizens, physically disabled individuals, and individuals suffering from PTSD and/or TBI (military and others). Also, for two years I worked as a child care specialist at a juvenile residential facility for clients with behavior disorders, ADHD, ADD, Autism, and trauma reactive crises situations. Personally, I have family members with autism, ADHD, and my husband, who retired after 22 years in the military suffers from PTSD, and some physical disabilities, so I truly empathize with veterans and have done various volunteer work to benefit veteran's foundations. Any person, any age, from professional to personal experience with special needs holds a special place in my heart.
