About McKenzie

I'd describe my personality as flexible, animated, and empathetic! I like working with kids because they teach me as much as I teach them! I am a public school speech therapist and I love what I do. I feel inspired by kids' enthusiasm, tenacity, creativity, and empathy. Kids have a fun way of looking at life, and I love learning how each kid's brain works. I'm looking for a job that is part-time, and I am OK with a fixed schedule or a more spontaneous schedule. I like to be busy so I'm very willing to help with household chores. I'm an educator and I'm also willing to help educate in fun but meaningful ways. I started working with kids when I was 17 at a summer camp. That means I've been working with kids for 12 years! I have a master's degree in Communication Disorders and have been working with kids in speech therapy since 2019. I work with 3 and a half years old, to 20 years old. In my spare time, I like to read, draw, play pickleball and field hockey, and watch documentaries.
