I have been a Preschool teacher for 20 years! I have excelled in my craft and enjoyed rewarding roles at the YMCA, as a Curriculum Coordinator, and behaviorist. For the past 2 years, I was Head of School, Montessori, & Childcare Director at a church. I have taught every age from infants to school-aged children. I taught Jazz, ballet and hip-hop dance at the Nashua YMCA and have taught as a Lead Pre-K teacher at the Merrimack YMCA for 14 years. I love music and singing so that is a big part of my curriculum, as well as math, reading and more reading! I use an assortment of instruments, puppets and games, with role play and social studies to support my curriculum. I am known to play my guitar in song circles and facilitate creative movement or yoga exercises to encourage learning! I offer a high quality of developmentally appropriate care for all ages of children. In the Childcare field there are great opportunities for home and personalized care, I would like to provide that! Blessings

I had the pleasure of working alongside Maya for three in the childcare field, and I can confidently say that she consistently demonstrated exceptional care, dedication, and passion for supporting the children in every aspect of their development. Maya truly excels at creating a nurturing, safe, and supportive environment where every child feels valued, understood, and emotionally secure. She has a remarkable ability to recognize the emotional needs of the children, responding with patience and empathy. Whether it was comforting a child during a difficult moment or guiding them through new experiences, Maya always ensured that the children felt heard and supported. This emotional connection helped foster a sense of trust and confidence, allowing the children to thrive both socially and emotionally. Parents consistently praised Maya for her ability to build strong relationships with their children, showing an intuitive understanding of their emotional well-being. She also communicated effectively with families, keeping them informed and engaged in their children's growth and progress. Beyond emotional care, Maya was proactive, reliable, and skilled in managing group dynamics, always ensuring a balance between play, learning, and emotional development. She went above and beyond to ensure the children's overall well-being and growth, making a significant positive impact on their lives. I highly recommend Maya for any childcare role, as she brings not only skill and professionalism but also a deep, compassionate understanding of children's emotional needs.
