About Maya

Hi! I've always been great with kids, I first started volunteering at a daycare, when I was 14, so I've been looking after kids professionally since I was 15! On top of that I'm the older sister so looking out for others has always been an innate ability. The best way I've learned to be with children is to make things fun, interesting, or challenging in ways that encourage their growth and confidence in all aspects. (Honestly I think us adults need that in our lives as well!) I've flown out of state for a summer to help my cousin with her infant twins and two toddlers. This last year I was a caregiver for my cousin in her 90's. I'm a very open and honest person, and always do my best to be conscientious and thoughtful. I love storytelling; reading, film, theater and being outdoors & with good people! One day looking to move to New York to pursue my passion in the arts.
