About Maureen

My Dad had Macular Degeneration and Alzheimer. I cared for him for 10 years. When he could no longer live alone with part time aids I brought him to come live with me and my family. When I got home from work I took over caring for him after the aid left until the morning when I went to work and solely on the week-ends. When it became too difficult we put him in a nursing home. I saw first hand what actually goes on and wasn't too pleased so I hired a private aid and went after work and week-ends. I saw how lonely other residents were and it was heartbreaking. Because of this experience and by knowing other seniors who are alone I would love to make a difference. Don't let my age fool you either, I am in very good shape.
