My first experience as a professional caregiver was caring for my Grandmother, out of necessity. That helped me understand first hand the importance of being a caregiver. Being both the caregiver and family member to the client. I treat and care for every client like I would want my loved one to be cared for. I have since cared for a few older adults. Recently I have been working with children and teen's with special needs. I have had special needs family members so I am also passionate about this type of care as well. In a short time I have worked with a large variety of special needs persons. Including physical, Mental and emotional needs. In addition to my professional experience I volunteer my time with a support group for LGBT youth. So am very welcoming and knowledgeable of LGBT clients and their families (trans* inclusive).
