I enjoy caring for people of all ages. I have experience with both Dementia and Alzheimer's. I have experience caring for a neighbor. Her name was Pearl. I helped Pearl with bathing, feeding, laundry, housekeeping, cooking, etc. for 5 years. I also helped to care for another neighbor, John when he was dying of cancer. I have lost both of my parents. My Dad at 65. My Mom at 84. I couldn't help but see the similarities between caring for the young and the old. They both had unique gifts if the world would slow down enough to enjoy them. I am one of those people. I can honestly say that after 25 years in Childcare and Senior Care too , I still take delight when a little toddler stops to see the sparkles in the pavement. When talking with a Senior Citizen who can't remember the ending of the story they are telling it's okay maybe tomorrow .
