About Mary

I am a college student in Greenville, SC seeking to benefit my community by applying my childcare skills to a family in need. For a year, I led the daycare for Young Walkers (12 to 18-month-old infants) at my local church. I have worked as a camp counselor, residential advisor, and junior instructor at four summer camp sessions under Capitol Debate, working with children and teens. I recently spent a year as a nanny for a 4-year-old in Massachusetts. One thing you should know about me is I am Type One Diabetic. This does not interfere with my ability to work, and I believe that it provides me a greater understanding of the world around me and a stronger ability to work with children requiring health accommodations. I am happy to explain my disability to kids and create awareness and consideration for my condition.
