About Marlene

I am recently retired from a 30-year teaching career, but am now focused on providing care for seniors. I have hands-on experience from supporting my elderly father through the challenges of dementia and continue to provide care for my 94-year-old mother. My responsibilities include hygiene, dressing assistance, med management, meal prep., housekeeping, and transportation. I'd describe my personality as warm, patient, and kind. I like caring for seniors because I genuinely enjoy the wisdom and life experiences they share. I'm looking for a job where my support makes a tangible difference in my client's quality of life. I started caring for my father 13 years ago when he was diagnosed with dementia. In my spare time, I enjoy travel and entertaining family and friends. One thing you should know is that I take my work very seriously and am very reliable and conscientious. My skills include being a good listener, genuine companionship, patience, and empathy.
