I have a degree in neuroscience and a a master's in biotechnology, for which I took coursework in neurodegenerative disease, immunology, and numerous clinically relevant subjects. My work experience includes about 4 months of senior care and 5 years as a live-in caregiver to three young children. I hope to bridge some of this skillset into special needs assistance. Other roles have included tutor, lab researcher, pharmacy technician and OR neuromonitor. The tutelage position has given me communication skills that translate well to the one-on-one patient care relationship. My lab and pharmacy work have strengthened my ability to learn things, and my work in healthcare has conferred an extensive medical knowledge that is relevant to any caregiving role. I'd also like to think that my experiences make me interesting conversational and companionate caregiver - and I love to listen to the experiences of those for whom I care. I am BLS-CPR certified & fully COVID-19 boosted.
