I have raised four children and I have several young grandchildren. I have an AA degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters degree in social work. I was employed over 17 years with the county of Santa Clara. I worked 10 of those years as an Emergency response social worker with Child Protective services. I have recently retired and moved to the area. I am very energetic and truly love working with and caring for children. I find their enthusiasm contagious and their zest for life exhilarating. I have a current first Aid and CPR certification. I have my own reliable transportation and have an impeccable driving record.

Maria is amazing and has such a talent for working with children. I have four (two in elementary school, one toddler and a newborn) and she is able to manage all of their schedules and routines perfectly and all down to a T. She is able to get my picky eater (toddler) to eat very well and even try new foods, soothe my newborn and get her to sleep when she is fussy, she helps my older children with homework, reads to them, plays, etc. My children love being with her and they are always so happy to see her and to spend time with her. You can see the feeling is mutual too and that she loves children by the way her eyes light up around the kids. She is enthusiastic, has tons of energy, takes initiative, is tidy and multitasks extremely well! My children are always so excited to see Maria and look forward to her coming over. Maria is also fun to talk to, is very knowledgeable, and, most importantly, I can trust her completely. She is the full package and I cannot recommend her more highly!
