Welcome! My name is Maria and I am from Houston Texas, and am moving to Shelby, NC in July. I am a Texas certified, bilingual, elementary Educator with 5 years of direct experience in education. I served as a teacher for 4 years and taught bilingual Pre-K, Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade. This past school year, I served as an Assistant Principal and had the pleasure of coaching and mentoring novice elementary teachers. I have 10+ years of child care/nannying experience, ranging from all ages and stages ~ from newborns to middle schoolers! I am passionate about working with infants and children and supporting their growth. I am excited to begin graduate courses in August for School Counseling. With that being said, starting in July, I will have long-term daytime and evening (nights will be pending course schedule) availability Monday - Sunday. Maria has been an amazing support to our family! She adjusted to our parenting style quickly and respectfully. She communicates fabulously and helped our children improve their Spanish patiently. I cannot recommend her enough to whoever is looking for childcare!
