I volunteered at a summer camp 2 years ago in Winchester Va called Camp Follow the Leader (a camp run through Winchester Medical Center). It is a week long camp for kids with special needs (ages ranging from 4-10). Each volunteer would be partnered up with a camper for the week to watch over them, help them, play with them, etc. It was such a blast and I plan on helping out again this summer. I have a passion for working with special needs kids because I believe that they deserve just as much attention and love as any other child.
