When I was a child I would always stop to talk to my elderly neighbor, for an hour every time I saw her sitting at her porch. I wished I could do more for her and help in the house, help her get to her friends, do her shopping, as a thank you for all of the amazing stories she would share and the attention and community support she gave me. I miss those days, and would love to contribute more to my community again.
