I had a very disappointing experience with the caregiver, Maria C. After confirming the booking that was made several days ago, Maria declined the job at the last minute, just before her scheduled start time of 7:30 a.m. This was extremely frustrating, especially considering the early timing and the fact that I had made plans around her confirmed availability. It's incredibly disruptive when a caregiver cancels or withdraws at the last minute, leaving no time to make alternate arrangements. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but she lacked in communication which was completely missing apart from my efforts of asking her every single day to confirm her appt While I appreciate Care.com’s platform for connecting families with caregivers, this experience with Maria C. has left me disappointed and inconvenienced. I would hope that both Care.com and caregivers on the platform take this issue seriously to ensure better experiences for families in the future. Please look for other caregivers and do not reach out to this person for your needs. You'll be left stranded at the last minute.
