About Maria

I'm an active, young at heart, retired elementary school teacher with a Masters of Science in teaching. I'm also a mom of 3 adult children (all about 2 1/2 years apart) whom I stayed home with during their primary years. I truly love caring for all aged children and would create a safe and fun environment for your little one(s) to learn and grow. I'm a natural nurturer and will use all of my experiences in life to be a positive role model. I'd describe my personality as fun-loving, nurturing and empathetic. I like working with kids because it's who I am. I love teaching and watching kids learn and discover. I'm looking for a job that includes me as part of the family (kind of like another g'ma!) where I can help everyone in the best ways possible. In my spare time, I like to volunteer at the local animal shelter, read and bike. My skills include: anticipating the needs of children, creating a safe and trusting environment and treating your child like my own : )
