About Makinzie

My name is Makinzie I live in Hillsboro with my 4-year-old dog. In my free time, I study osteology and graphic design. I strongly believe that all children and adults should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of age, race, background, gender, or sexual orientation. I have worked with kids for about 10 years with ages ranging from 3 months - 11 years old. I am experienced with dialectical behavior therapy and emotion regulation skills to better help children express as well as cope with their emotions without using violent tantrums and physical outbursts. I also have worked with various children with special needs for about 3 years. I have provided care for children with autism, Williams disease, child dementia, down syndrome, battens disease, and more. I know ASL and I am comfortable communicating with non-verbal kids through ASL.
