About Maki

Hello! My name is Maya (preferred name Maki) and I would love to babysit your child! I was a camp counselor at San Carlos Adventure Camp for 2 summers and I also worked as a substitute Transitional Kindergarten after school staff for 3 months before going back to college. My experience is mainly with 4-5-year-olds but I am open to caring for other age groups as well! I am a bubbly, energetic person that would love to bond with your child and have a great time with them! My favorite part of working with kids is doing arts and crafts with them and getting to know their cute, silly personalities. However, I know childcare isn't all fun and games. When children get upset, I make sure to fully listen to why they feel that way and assure them that I'm listening closely. I make sure they are getting what they need but at the same time making sure that it's within limit. I make sure to communicate everything with the parent(s) as well. I can not wait to work with you and your children!
