My entire life I was placed in a class with a young down-syndrome girl. After being placed together one year, she was placed with me for the rest of school. I loved hanging out with her and being able to calm her down if she needed it. There were many times she felt more comfortable going with me that she did with her caregiver. I have a lot of experience with autistic kids, down-syndrome, etc. I have a lot of patience as well.
