About Makayla

I like working with children because I want to help them grow. I love to see children reach new goals or milestones and to be an active part in that brings me so much joy!! I started working with kids at 14 babysitting around my neighborhood. When I was old enough to get a job I started at a daycare. I have worked in that field since. I have over 7 years experience, but most of my experience is with infants (6weeks-12months). I have experience with the basics such as bottle/food feedings, diaper changes, nap/bed time but I also have experience is creating developmentally appropriate activities to encourage learning and development. This includes activities like, story time, singing songs, sensory activities, and outdoor play. In my spare time, I like to spend my time outside! I love hiking and exploring new scenic spots around Connecticut.
