About Maira

Hi! My name is Maira , I am 19 years old and currently enrolled at The University of Iowa as a microbiology major on the pre-medical track. I like working with kids because I've always been around kids. I have two younger brothers and plenty of baby cousins that I've grown up with. I love their energy, curiosity, and creativity. It's rewarding to help them learn new things! I'm looking for a job that allows me to pretty regular hours, working mostly in the afternoon/evenings! I am comfortable watching siblings/ several kids at once, and kids who are able to communicate. I started working with kids when I was going into my freshman year of high-school. I watched my neighbors kids and slowly branched out to some family friends. My skills include patience, spatial/situational awareness, planning and communication.
