From a young age I grew up around adults with various types of disabilities, because of the awesome job my mother had as a job coach. This taught me from an early age the importance of embracing our differences and lifting others up no matter what. I have a passion for helping others and wanted to follow in my mothers footsteps. In college I worked anywhere from 30-60 hours a week for over 4 years in a group home. My duties were to help support adults living with developmental and medical disabilities. My duties included house keeping, medication management, teaching and modeling life skills, cooking, taking them out into the public and overall helping them live a more independent life. After college I went on to work for a mental health agency where I worked with children with various behavioral and emotional needs. This included working with kids and adults with various diagnosis such as ADHD, GAD, ASD, depression, ODD, conduct disorder, and many different types of trauma.
