About Lyla

Hello, my name is Lyla! I like to describe myself as someone who is determined, charismatic, and patient. On my free time, I love to explore the outdoors, read, Polynesian dance, crafts, and going to baseball games! Additionally, as a child of single parents, I understand the hardships of parenting alone and the challenges of finding your child a reliable source of supervision. Experience: Boys and Girls Club - volunteered on and off for two and half years. Supervised a mass amount of children at the same time, one-to-one interaction with children, making programs (outdoors, inside crafts, video games, etc.). Help initiate a STEM program in which we would do STEM-related activities with the kids (i. e. strawberry-dna project). Local Elementary Schools - leader of a high school club in which we visited local elementary schools (Temecula Luiseño, Pauba Valley) to assist in their school events - game nights, seasonal festivals, movie nights, campus cleanups.
