About Lori

I worked for Leader Nursing Home from 6/1978-10/1978 as a nurse's aide. I worked assisting the patients with bathing, dressing and other daily hygiene; did first aid treatments if needed. I worked for Abilities In Motion from 3/2005-2/2011 as a nurse's aide. When I worked for Abilities In Motion, I assisted one patient with showers, brushing teeth, applying body lotion, dressing and putting on TED stockings. Applied make up on her, and brushed and fixed her hair. Being a caring companion and reading to her when she wanted. Helped her on potty and to get her in her wheelchair. I also prepared and fed her meals. The one thing I liked best was that I loved making her laugh. The ailments I am familiar with (through the patient having) are diabetes and MS. I would test her blood every time I worked with her, once or twice I had to give her an insulin shot. 5/2015-8/2015 I worked also assisting an older woman needing help with meal preparation, bathing, testing blood and dressing.
