About Lorie

Lorie was nice at first so even though she had minimal experience with senior care, I wanted to give her a chance. She cared for my mom for about month on Sundays and some fill in days. She does not remember from day to day what she is supposed to do even though there are notes everywhere. She doesn't follow directions well. She never learned how to properly change a diaper. She would give up feeding my totally disabled mom who has dementia too early because she misread signs that my mom was giving. My mom had a stroke and is impossible to understand. She could not tell if my mom was uncomfortable and didn't try to make her comfortable. My mom shows obvious signs of discomfort. Even the companion part was not very companion-like. Lorie often sat on the couch, ignoring my mom. And lastly, this morning I had to fire her because while she was changing my mom's diaper, she inflicted enormous pain on my mom because her disabled, unmovable right arm was pinned underneath her body while Lorie was pushing her trying to grab the diaper closure. Lorie didn't even recognize that my mom was screaming in pain and agony. And she told me that my mom put her disabled unmovable arm underneath her body.
