About Loren

I have been Certified as a Medical Assistant, and have an active CPR license. I am a non-smoker. For the last 20 plus years, I have been following my passion to reach out to handicapped and/or mentally impaired people of all ages. I started volunteering in an old age home at the age of 15 and continued volunteering with a nonprofit program. This program helped quadriplegic and paraplegics of all ages learn to sail on modified boats. That experience then led into my involvement with the Special Olympics. I am a mother of four (19, 11, 9 and 1 and half). I am ready to revisit my dream and passion to help. My experience involves extensive experience with disabilities/diseases such as Parkinson's, muscular atrophy/dystrophy, spinal dystrophy, dementia, and some autism. I am physically capable of lifting, and I understand well the transferring of. I am extremely sensitive and my nature is uplifting. I aim to keep both heart and soul smiling and joyous, at any age!
