About Lorelle

I love working with young children, and working as a nanny and mother's helper over the last 12 years has given me many opportunities to develop a broad base of child care experience. I have cared for 16 boys and girls since 2000, my junior year in college. Their ages have ranged from newborn to 5 years old. Most recently, I was a full-time nanny for a baby boy for most of 2013, starting before he was quite 3 months old. In addition, I worked in Montessori education for 2 years, both in an infant/toddler room, and several preschool/kindergarten rooms. I am skilled at all basic childcare responsibilities, such changing diapers, giving bottles, preparing meals, etc. I am familiar with Attachment Parenting principles, and am comfortable with baby wearing. I also love singing, and making up melodies to accompany books. I believe that reading is important from birth, and try to choose age appropriate reading materials for all ages. I have been known to work magic helping create environments conducive to nursing for moms, and developing nap/bedtime routines for even the fussiest of babies. Most importantly, I'm committed to supporting parents and making sure their little ones know they are loved.
