About Lia

I graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in Mathematics in 2018, and immediately entered a two year term as an Americorps Teaching Fellow for the after-school organization, Citizen Schools. While there, I taught middle-school math classes during the day and ran my own classroom in the afternoon. In after-school, I facilitated test-prep, homework help (in ELA, Math, and Science), and taught chess, music, origami, and film-making. I have extensive music and performance experience as I have played violin and piano since 2000, have undergone vocal training since 2010 (with main experience being in acappella ensemble), and have particular interest and demonstrated experience in Shakespearean theatre. I have taught music theory for many ages (from 8 to 22) in classes sizes from 1 to 11. I have about 10 years of babysitting experience, previously a competitive swimmer, can speak fluently in two languages, read and write in three, and am CPR certified for infants, toddlers, and adults.
