About Susan

I have worked as a tutor since age 13, both in an after-school and as a private tutor. I also volunteered as a tutor in my high school for students with learning disabilities. The children I tutored ranged in age, from kindergarten to 11th grade. I started working in an after-school at age 13, providing help in math and English homework to students in grades K-5. At age 15, I also began to work in a weekend school that tutored in standardized testing and admission to specialized NYC high schools. Since age 16, I have private tutored in math, history, biology, college essay writing, and SAT / ACT. I am able to tailor my approach based on each student's learning style (I majored in Psychology in college and continue to study / am interested in how our minds work).
