Hello! My names Lexi, and I am a 23-year-old from Thornton, CO. I have lived in Thornton all of my life and don't ever see myself leaving Colorado anytime soon. I am currently an a first year interventionist at an elementary school. I work with the entire school teaching the emotional intelligence. Instead of music class each week, I have turned the music room into a sensory room that the students get to enjoy twice a week. I make lesson plans as well as create activities for students that are based on how to grow your mindset, how to identify your emotions, how to become a friend, prevent bullies, etc. The school I work with is an inclusion school. Which has students who has special needs and general education students in one classroom. They have a Special Education teacher and a General Education teacher in one classroom, as well as a classroom para.
