About Laurie

Hi, my name is Laurie. I have recently updated my profile here in hopes of finding part-time nanny/babysitting work. I have 4 grown daughters, 1 in college, 3 out of college. I also have 2 very sweet dogs (beagles). I was a very hands-on, stay at home mom until about 13 years ago when I started working as a nanny. Besides raising my own 4 children, I have been a nanny for children ages birth - 10 years old, including twins ages birth - 3 years old. I have extensive experience with newborns, toddlers, and school-aged children. I have also done before and after school care for a family with 3 children, 2 of them being school aged. I love being outdoors and taking walks with the stroller. I am very dependable, responsible, logical, intuitive, patient and nurturing. I truly enjoy working with children of all ages, from birth on up. I know my way around a kitchen and I love to cook. I have no problems with doing light housework and baby's laundry.
