About Laurel

Hi! My name is Laurel, and I am from Tennessee. A year and a half ago, I spent the schoolyear in Spain as an English teaching assistant for kids ages 3-12. My undergraduate degree is in Environmental Science, but I enjoyed teaching so much this past year, that I realized I would like more experience working with kids. In addition to teaching, I have a few years of experience volunteering with my hometown's kid college. I can help with laundry, homework, light housekeeping, travel, pets, etc. I just moved to Charlotte in August of 2023 to be close to family, and I started nannying then. I am a fast learner and since just graduating a few years ago, I am up to date with a lot of the new student technology such as Microsoft programs, Canvas, Google Docs and Slides, etc. Some of my interests include getting outside, traveling, reading, roller skating, crafting, playing music, language learning, etc. I am looking forward to working for you!
