I love their life stories, their experiences, and being able to "stand in the gap" to meet their care needs when family is not available or just needs a break. I have 10+ years experience, with most of that time caring for folks with dementia, have training in CPR and first aid and can help with the following needs: medication management, meal preparation, light cleaning, transportation, bathing and dressing and being a fun companion. I hired Laura to assist with the care of my 94 Year old mother who has Alzheimer's Disease. Laura's most notable quality was her ability to adapt to our family dynamics as well as my mother's Alzheimer's related behavior. She brought energy, expertise and new ideas to our home which elevated my mother's well being, but she still knew when to sit back and "let it be". We consider her a friend and a gift to to those seeking great care with the human touch.
