About Lamya

Hi! I'm Lamya (luh-my-uh) or just Mya, and l've been babysitting since I was young. I'm currently a paraprofessional with Chicago Public Schools, working with kindergarteners and kids with autism, but have also worked with 2nd grade up to 4th grade, and I'm also earning my degree in elementary education (graduating spring 2026!). Working with kids is truly my passion! Whether it's exploring new places, reading stories (I have a whole bookshelf of kids' books ranging from picture books to graphic novels), or just playing games, I'm always ready to make things fun and also safe. I'm a huge Disney and Marvel fan too. My Experience & Skills: -Years of babysitting for family and friends -Experience working with kids of all abilities, including those with autism -CPR certified -Love reading and finding creative activities to keep kids engaged -I worked at Disney World, so I know how to make every day a bit more special!
