I am a UCF student studying Speech Pathology. I have three years of experience as an ABA technician for children with special needs. I also have experience babysitting/ nannying many different types of children including children with autism, ADHD, down syndrome, Cognitive & developmental delays. As a ABA technician, I have been taught behavior techniques in order to promote positive behaviors. I have experience with verbal and non-verbal communication, this includes PECS, ipad communications like proloquo and American Sign Language. My friends and family describe me as positive, outgoing, energetic and fun. I truly enjoy working with children and letting them expand their knowledge, not only in a school setting, but at home as well through accidental and reinforced learning. I love the outdoors and being active. I wish to be able to help families by providing them with the care they need.
